NDCEL Fall Education Super Conference: Are you a school leader, administrator, teacher, instructional staff, counselor, social worker, Title1, or special education personnel? Dates: October 20-22, 2021 - Bismarck Event Center --- Registration opens April 1, 2021
North Dakota Innovation Academy: This curriculum will be tailored to the needs of ND Educators and will equip participants to access resources and begin immediately making small steps that can lead to big change, as well as planning for long-term system change with an in-depth study of ten building blocks for achieving four major shifts. Seven full days of training will take place throughout the 2018-2019 school year.
Instructional Leadership: This is the course that was created by Ed Porthan and updated by Marv Erhardt and Jim Stenehjem. We are now on the 4th edition with numerous updates on brain research. The program represents the best of what we currently know about effective instruction, effective learning, and effective school leadership. We know that enhanced learning cannot occur without positive interactions taking place through effective instructional practices by educators, effective learning practices by students, and effective leadership practices by administrators. This program is designed as 6 days of training with required homework between the 3 two-day sessions. The cost of this training will be $700/person and includes all materials.

Crucial Accountability - This research-based two-day workshop teaches step-by-step processes and skills to hold others accountable, improve performance, and ensure execution. Participants learn how to talk about violated expectations in a way that yields two-way accountability and allows further progress to be made. Consistent application of the skills leads to faster problem-solving, decision making, and conflict resolution. When issues are resolved, and focus is restored, productivity increases, relationships are strengthened, and high-performance cultures are formed. The cost of this training will be $400/person which includes all materials.
Training Dates: September 24-25, 2019 at the Comfort Suites, Bismarck (Hotel Room block at the Main Stay)
Crucial Conversations- This two-day workshop gives you the tools for talking when the stakes are high. The training teaches skills for communicating when the stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. You will be able to improve dialogue and engagement, create behavior changes, and help to build high-performance and culture. The cost of this training will be $400/person which includes all materials.
Training Dates: September 16-17, 2019 at the Comfort Suites, Bismarck (Hotel block also at Comfort Suites)
OCR Investigations & Guidance - Section 504 Training - Will address the basics of determining when a 504 plan is required and will also address the newest OCR guidance and the developing case law on discrimination against persons with disabilities in school settings. The program is appropriate for public and private school educators. We will cover the basics with a focus on the new developments in the law. The cost of this training is $230/person which includes all materials.

Aspiring Superintendent Seminar - provides a rich, collegiate cohort opportunity for leaders who wish to become North Dakota superintendents – or for those who think they MIGHT want to become a superintendent and would like to dip their toe in the water first! Learn how to apply for the many vacancies that will be available in North Dakota and how to be prepared for the process. Hear about what school boards and districts are looking for in a superintendent.

The 2021 PLC Summit will be held on April 8-9, 2021 at the Baymont Inn and Suites 2611 Old Red Trail NW, Mandan ND 58554 in the Pier 7 Ballroom.
Thursday, April 8 (8 am - 4 pm) will be a full workday with Dr. Jason Andrews of Solution Tree. Friday, April 9th will be a half-day, 8 am -12 pm. We want to give your team time with your PLC work, so the second day will be a time with your team and the facilitator.
Jason A. Andrews, EdD is the superintendent of Windsor Central School District and the 2019 Superintendent of the Year. Previously, he served as a high school teacher, coach, co-curricular advisor, and middle school principal.
Teams will consist of 2-5 people per team. Schools may bring as many teams as they choose. Individuals from the same school will be "podded" together, but teams will be socially distanced. Please register each person on your team - Masks required.
